Mark Edward Vance, a 30-year-old male police officer with the Bristol Tennessee Police Department, was tragically shot and killed on November 27, 2004. Officer Vance responded to a domestic disturbance call at 427 Belmont Drive in Bristol, where dispatchers had received reports of a man threatening a juvenile female with a gun.
