Cecil Dwayne Dotson Sr., a 30-year-old African American man from Memphis, Tennessee, was tragically killed on March 2, 2008. Cecil was fatally shot by his brother, Jessie Dotson, during an argument at Cecil's home. The altercation escalated, leading Jessie to also kill five other individuals present at the scene, including Cecil's girlfriend, Marissa Williams, 27, and two of Cecil's children, Cemario Dotson, 4, and Cecil Dotson II, 2.
