On March 5, 2014, the city of Memphis, Tennessee, was shaken by the tragic loss of 17-year-old Anthony Micheal Black, a young Black male whose life was cut short by gun violence. The community mourned the untimely death of this promising youth, whose potential and aspirations were abruptly ended.
