On July 6, 2023, 31-year-old Barry Owens Porterfield of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away. He is survived by his daughter, Brooklyn Underwood; his parents, Larry Porterfield and Alma Owens; two sisters, Jameela and Jamekia Owens Porterfield; and six brothers, Kelvin, Larry, Thaddeus, Columbus, and Rico Owens, and Eric Allen. A visitation was held on July 14, 2023, followed by a funeral service on July 15 at Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Millington, Tennessee.
