Aljernon Lloyd Jr., a 64-year-old African American man from Jackson, Tennessee, was tragically shot and killed on the night of March 11, 2014. Lloyd was known in his community as a warm-hearted and generous individual who often went out of his way to help others. He was a property owner who rented to many Lane College students and even provided housing for those in need without asking for rent. His kindness and dedication to service made him a beloved figure in his neighborhood.
