In the community of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, the life of Kendrick Pointer, a 36-year-old Black / African American man, was cut short on the evening of January 5, 2015. He was fatally shot outside of his residence at the Greens of Rivergate apartment complex. The incident unfolded when an unidentified man reportedly approached Pointer and opened fire.
