Death by Force

Patrick Tyler Burdine, a 28-year-old Black man, was fatally shot in his apartment at the Horizon Park complex in South Nashville on July 27, 2015. He was discovered with multiple gunshot wounds by officers who responded to a report of shots fired in the area. Burdine was pronounced dead at the scene. A witness reported seeing a shirtless African American man wearing white pants running from the scene shortly after the shooting.
