In the fall of 2015, a fateful encounter in a Nashville housing development parking lot ended the life of 17-year-old Ian Patrick Patterson. The young man, a resident of Chapmansboro, was fatally shot on October 11, 2015, while standing outside his car in the James Cayce housing development.
