In a tragic turn of events that unfolded in the driveway of her Nashville, Tennessee home, 25-year-old Shanel Bowen, a Black female, lost her life on December 21, 2015. The incident, which took place on Vista Lane in the Trinity Hills area, was determined by Metro Nashville police to be a murder-suicide. Bowen was found fatally shot in the passenger seat of a car.
