Luis Felipe Soto, a 29-year-old Hispanic man, tragically died on April 10, 2016, in Memphis, Tennessee. The incident occurred at a gas station during a child custody exchange. Soto was involved in an altercation with an off-duty Memphis police officer, who was there to witness his fiancée picking up her 4-year-old daughter from Soto, her ex-husband.
