On October 21, 2016, 13-year-old Javarrie "JoJo" Robertson was tragically shot and killed in his father's home in Toone, Tennessee. JoJo's father, Joe "Joe Duke" Robertson, aged 38, was also killed in the incident. The mother of JoJo had dropped him off at his father's house before school, and the shooting occurred around 7:30 a.m. Two other children, a 5-year-old and a newborn, were present in the home but were unharmed.
