Sergio Rivera, an 18-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity from Decatur, Michigan, tragically lost his life on June 22, 2017, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Rivera, along with Jaleon Morris, also 18, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Montgomery Village housing development in South Knoxville. They had traveled to Knoxville for a planned marijuana deal. Damien Lee, a 16-year-old from Knoxville, was also shot but survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
