In Nashville, Tennessee, an evening in the fall of 2017 turned tragic for 18-year-old Donquarious Barber. On Saturday, October 7, the young man was in an upstairs bedroom of a home in Parkway Terrace. While he was eating a bowl of cereal, a gun he had in his pocket fell to the floor.

The impact caused the firearm to discharge. A single bullet struck Barber in the chest, inflicting a fatal wound. Emergency services were called to the scene, but the injury proved too severe. According to re ...
