In a tragic turn of events on October 9, 2017, Hakeem Canty, a 19-year-old African American male, lost his life in what was described as an accidental shooting in Clarksville, Tennessee. The incident unfolded at the Durrett Village Apartments, also known as Liberty Pointe, on State Line Road, where Canty had been intermittently staying with his brother.
