Don Jermaine Whitaker, a 25-year-old man from Memphis, Tennessee, tragically passed away on March 1, 2018. Whitaker was shot and later died from his injuries at Regional One Hospital after being dropped off at a fire station with a gunshot wound. The incident occurred after Whitaker and his girlfriend went to a house in the 2700 block of Midland Avenue to purchase a firearm. Whitaker got into a vehicle, fled a few minutes later, and was subsequently shot.
