In the spring of 2023, a young Black man named Donkevion Jones, aged 20, was fatally shot in Memphis, Tennessee, in what authorities have described as a targeted attack. On the evening of April 22, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Jones was sitting in his vehicle near the intersection of Egypt Central and Raleigh Millington.
