On March 25, 2023, 16-year-old Demariay Moss was tragically shot and killed in a townhome located in Memphis's Parkway Village neighborhood. The incident occurred when 22-year-old Jaylon Rhodes allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's residence and opened fire, resulting in the death of Moss and injuries to two other individuals.
