In the early morning hours of April 22, 2018, the life of 20-year-old Joe Rene Perez Jr. was tragically cut short in a violent outburst at a Waffle House in Antioch, Tennessee. A young man with his life ahead of him, Perez was a customer at the restaurant when a gunman opened fire, shattering the ordinary quiet of the establishment.
