In the late hours of a Friday night in Antioch, Tennessee, a young man's life was cut short over a parking dispute. Cesar Reza, a 24-year-old male, was with two friends at the Arabian Palace Hookah Lounge on Bell Road on May 11, 2018, when an argument erupted in the parking lot. The group had a disagreement with another driver who was attempting to back out of a parking space.
The verbal altercation quickly escalated to a fatal encounter.
The other driver, later identified as Carlos Dixon, fired a single shot into the vehicle where Reza was sitting. The bullet struck Cesar Reza, inflicting a mortal wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooter fled in a white or light-colored Chrysler 200 with tinted windows, leaving a scene of shock and grief in his wake.
Following an investigation, Metro Nashville Police identified 44-year-old Carlos Darnell Dixon as the suspect. A week after the deadly shooting, Dixon was located and arrested in the nearby city of La Vergne. He was subsequently charged with criminal homicide for the death of Cesar Reza and held on a $300,000 bond.
