In the summer of 2018, a senseless act of violence cut short the life of 41-year-old Carlos Nash in Memphis, Tennessee. On the Fourth of July, a day typically filled with celebration and community, Nash was simply trying to buy a sandwich on Summer Avenue when he was fatally shot.
