Phil Trenary, a 64-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity, was the president and CEO of the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce. On the evening of September 27, 2018, Trenary was walking on South Front Street near G.E. Patterson in Memphis, TN, when he was shot in the back of the head by an unknown assailant who fled the scene in a white pickup truck. Trenary was pronounced dead at the scene.
