In the late hours of an autumn evening in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 18-year-old Brandon J. Adams, a Black male, was tragically cut short. On October 14, 2018, Adams, a promising basketball player from LEAD Academy, drove with a relative to the parking lot of McGavock High School. The purpose of their visit was a prearranged meeting. Soon after they arrived, another vehicle pulled up, and an individual from that car got into the back seat of Adams' vehicle.
