On October 14, 2018, 18-year-old Brandon J. Adams was fatally shot in the parking lot of McGavock High School in Nashville, TN. Adams and a relative had driven to the school to meet some people. Another vehicle arrived, and an occupant entered the backseat of Adams' car. A second occupant of the vehicle exited and threatened Adams and his relative with a pistol.
