Death by Force

William Edward Statler, a 48-year-old white male, died on November 18, 2018, in Memphis, Tennessee. Statler, a carpenter and U.S. Marine veteran, was shot in the head while standing at the Graham Food Mart in the 1700 block of North Graham. The incident occurred without any provocation or confrontation. The suspect, Elim Diaz, retrieved a gun from an accomplice, pointed it at Statler's head, and pulled the trigger.
