On April 24, 2025, Christian Brown, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically killed in a shooting near Booker T. Washington High School in South Memphis, Tennessee. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Mississippi Boulevard and South Lauderdale Street. Another victim, 18-year-old Darrius Wadley, also lost his life in the same shooting.
