In the quiet community of Thompson's Station, Tennessee, the life of James Thomas 'Tommy' Smithson Sr., a 72-year-old male, was brought to a tragic and unexpected end on June 19, 2019. A veteran of the U.S. Marines who had served his country in Vietnam, Smithson was a man known for his love of reading, music, and engaging in spirited debates. He was a member of the Church of Christ and had built a life in Williamson County, where he was born and raised.
