In the warm evening of July 7, 2019, in Memphis, Tennessee, a young man's life was abruptly cut short. Justin Love, a 22-year-old male who was training to be an EMT, was shot and killed at the Eden at Willow's Edge Apartments in the Fox Meadows neighborhood. He had his own apartment, a car, and a future that was tragically stolen from him.
The fatal encounter occurred around 8:30 p.m. following an altercation with another man outside of Justin's second-story apartment. During the dispute, the other man brandished a silver semi-automatic weapon and shot Justin. The force of the gunshot caused him to fall over the railing to the ground below, where he died. His family was not notified of his death until the following day.
Witnesses at the apartment complex saw the entire incident unfold, yet a wall of silence has met investigators, leaving the case unsolved for years. Justin's family is convinced that he knew his killer, believing that the motive may have stemmed from jealousy over his accomplishments and drive.
