On a Wednesday evening in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 29-year-old Marcus Brooks was tragically cut short in a brazen act of violence. On September 18, 2019, Brooks and another man, 28-year-old Marqual Rivers, were standing in a common area of an apartment complex in the 2300 block of Pendleton Street, just north of Ketchum Road. It was then that vehicles passed by, and shots were fired from within them, striking both men.
