On November 8, 2019, 38-year-old Jeffrey Dean, a white male from Knoxville, Tennessee, was involved in a fatal hunting accident in the Catoosa Wildlife Management Area near Crab Orchard, TN. He was hunting with several family members in a heavily wooded and remote section of the area. Due to the remoteness of the location, officers had to utilize four-wheel-drive vehicles and ATVs to reach the scene.
