On January 8, 2020, Dajuante Stuart, a 30-year-old truck driver from Hermitage, Tennessee, was found shot to death inside his tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder of I-269 near Macon Road in Shelby County. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office launched a homicide investigation after reviewing video footage from inside the truck's cab, which showed Stuart talking with a man identified as James Huddleston.
