On a Monday evening in Cleveland, Tennessee, the life of 57-year-old Ricky Lynn Rogers was tragically cut short. On April 20, 2020, Rogers suffered a fatal gunshot wound in an act of selfless intervention. He had stepped in to protect another individual during a confrontation, a decision that would ultimately cost him his own life. The man responsible for the shooting was identified as Horace G. 'H.G.' Plemons, who at 81 years of age, was Rogers' landlord.
