In the city of Chattanooga, Tennessee, a life was cut short on a summer day in 2020. Derrick Donta McKinney, a 29-year-old man, was killed in a shooting on Thursday, June 4, 2020. Born on December 11, 1990, McKinney was a son, a father to two sons and two daughters, a brother, and a friend to many in his community.
