Courtney Anderson, a 31-year-old African American male and dedicated firefighter with the Memphis Fire Department since 2015, tragically lost his life on August 16, 2020. Anderson was shot in the Whitehaven neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee, while off-duty. He was killed in the 4,000 block of Eastwind around 4:50 p.m. Witnesses reported that Anderson was shot by 18-year-old Delvone Williams during a robbery attempt.
