In the early morning hours of August 30, 2020, Robert Darian Williams, a 34-year-old Black / African American man, was fatally shot in Union City, Tennessee. The incident occurred around 2:23 a.m. outside of Club 1 Hunnid on North First Street. When Union City Police officers arrived at the scene following reports of multiple gunshots, they discovered Williams unresponsive in the roadway. He was immediately transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
