On September 21, 2020, 22-year-old Dorian Banks from Gallatin, Tennessee, was fatally shot in the parking lot of Dodge's Fried Chicken and Gas Station on West Main Street in Hendersonville. Banks was taken to Hendersonville Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m., and the investigation revealed that the shooting stemmed from an apparent drug deal.
