In the autumn of 2020, the life of Patrick Bernard Shaw Sr., a 51-year-old Black man from Brownsville, Tennessee, was brought to a sudden and violent end. On October 16th, Shaw was fatally shot, a tragedy that would quickly mobilize law enforcement and cast a somber shadow over the community.
