In the fading light of a February evening in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of Terrence E. Taylor, a 48-year-old African American male and a devoted firefighter of 16 years, was tragically cut short. On February 12, 2021, while off-duty at the Germantown Apartment Homes in southeast Shelby County, Taylor was confronted by a man armed with a rifle.
