Chaka NaEmia Trayvise Sligh, a 36-year-old woman from Knoxville, TN, tragically passed away on July 17, 2021. She was fatally shot in the early morning hours while riding in a car with a friend on East Fifth Avenue in Knoxville. The vehicle they were in was targeted by someone in a passing car, who opened fire, hitting Chaka. Despite immediate medical attention and being rushed to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
