Vanessa West, a 49-year-old woman from New Market, Tennessee, tragically died on August 2, 2021. She was found dead in her home alongside her husband, Paul West, 58, in what was determined to be an apparent murder-suicide. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene around 1:34 a.m. after a family member discovered the couple with gunshot wounds.
