In the winter of 2021, the life of David Rowan, a 66-year-old male pastor from Milton, Florida, came to a tragic end in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. On the morning of Thursday, December 2, 2021, officers from the Murfreesboro Police Department were dispatched to the Rutherford County Justice Center Parking Garage located at 223 Maple Street. There, on the second floor of the garage, they discovered Rowan deceased inside his vehicle.
According to the preliminary investigation, Rowan appeared
to have died from a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound. At the time of his death, authorities stated that no foul play was suspected in the incident. His case was still under investigation by detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division.
The discovery of Rowan's body occurred while he was on trial in Murfreesboro for serious criminal allegations. He was facing charges of multiple sex crimes reportedly committed against two teenage girls. The trial had reached a critical point, and Rowan was awaiting the jury's verdict when he was found.
