Jeremy Smith, a 23-year-old African American male, was found dead on June 29, 2022, in West Nashville, Tennessee. His body was discovered on the side of River Road Pike, and he was subsequently transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The investigation into his death revealed that he had been shot, and the circumstances surrounding the incident led to a criminal investigation.
