In the summer of 2022, a promising life was tragically cut short in Memphis, Tennessee. Timothy J. Pinkins, a 28-year-old Black man, was visiting a female friend at the Manor Park East Apartments in the southern part of the city. What should have been a peaceful visit turned into a scene of brutal violence in the early morning hours of July 24th.
The tragic events unfolded when Roemello Cash, the ex-boyfriend of Pinkins' friend, allegedly broke into the apartment where Pinkins and his
friend were asleep. A confrontation ensued, and Cash is accused of shooting Pinkins multiple times. The violence didn't end there; it is reported that after being shot, Pinkins was pushed out of a third-story window. Witnesses in the apartment complex recounted the horrific sight of his body then being dragged to a nearby dumpster.
The investigation into the death of Timothy J. Pinkins quickly pointed to Roemello Cash as the primary suspect.
