In the autumn of 2022, the life of 49-year-old Frank Bando Vinson was tragically cut short. On November 23rd, Vinson was fatally shot outside his home on East Fifth Avenue in Knoxville, Tennessee. The incident, which authorities believe was the result of an attempted armed robbery, sent ripples of concern through the community. Vinson, a male resident of Knoxville, was remembered by those who knew him as he was laid to rest.
The Knoxville Police Department swiftly launched an investigation into the homicide. Their efforts led to the identification of three male suspects: Damonte Golden, DeSean Johnson, and Lawrence Stenson. By December of 2022, Golden was already in custody on an unrelated charge, while Johnson and Stenson remained at large. The investigation continued, and the search for the remaining suspects intensified.
The new year brought progress in the case. In January 2023, law enforcement successfully apprehended the remaining two suspects. Lawrence Stenson was the last of the trio to be taken into custody, a development that brought a measure of relief to a community seeking justice for Vinson's untimely death.
