In the spring of 1969, a violent chapter unfolded in the history of Philadelphia's criminal underworld with the death of Nathaniel 'Rock and Roll' Williams. A 30-year-old African American man, Williams was a significant figure, known as one of the co-founders of the Philadelphia Black Mafia.
