Police Officer Ernest Wilson Davis, Jr., aged 33, was shot and killed on July 16, 1980, in Philadelphia, PA. Officer Davis, a U.S Air Force veteran, had served with the Philadelphia Police Department for four years. He was responding to a call about a man with a gun at a restaurant on North Broad Street when he located the suspect in a nearby van.
