The single gunshot to his back resulted in Jones being paralyzed.
For more than six months, Larry Jermaine Jones lived with the devastating consequences
of the shooting at a Minneapolis nursing facility. However, due to complications from the gunshot wound, he passed away on May 22, 2014. Following his death, the Hennepin County medical examiner officially ruled the manner of death as a homicide.
