On the evening of November 4, 2013, Larry Jermaine Jones, a 40-year-old male, was a passenger in a car in North Minneapolis when he was shot. The incident occurred in the 2000 block of Irving Avenue North. Following the shooting, police were called to North Memorial Medical Center around 8:45 p.m. regarding a person with a gunshot wound. The single gunshot to his back resulted in Jones being paralyzed.
