Alton Leroy Jones, a 23-year-old male, was killed in Chester, Pennsylvania, on October 5, 2006, in a shooting that unfolded in the city’s Highland Gardens section. The incident was reported in the early morning hours, around 3 a.m., after a resident from the 2600 block of Pine Street called police to say there had been a shooting. When officers arrived, they found Jones in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
