In the early morning hours of October 7, 2006, the life of 25-year-old Josly E. Grande Peguero was tragically cut short in Allentown, Pennsylvania. A man of Hispanic ethnicity, Peguero was discovered by police inside a basement apartment located at 44 South 10th Street. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound. The discovery was made around 2:30 AM after officers responded to a call about a man being down.
The timing of his death was particularly heartbreaking as Peguero had been preparing
for a trip to the Dominican Republic. He was scheduled to be on a flight later that same morning. Instead of embarking on a journey to visit family or enjoy a vacation, his life ended abruptly and violently in the quiet confines of an Allentown apartment. The promise of his travels was replaced by the grim reality of a homicide investigation.
To date, the case of Josly Grande Peguero's murder remains unsolved. Despite the passage of time, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with his killing.
