Jabrie Hughes, a 20-year-old male from Chester, PA, tragically died on June 1, 2010, after being shot multiple times in the 200 block of Patterson Street. He was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. The incident was part of a wave of violence in Chester that led Mayor Wendell Butler to declare a state of emergency.
