In the late winter of 2012, the community of Chester, Pennsylvania, was struck by a tragedy that cut short a young life. LaMar R. Hatcher, a 22-year-old man, was fatally shot in his lifelong hometown on February 24, 2012. Known affectionately to his friends and family as 'Mar Mar,' he was a graduate of Chester High School's class of 2008 and had been recently employed at Naamans Creek. His death was a profound loss to those who knew him as a beloved grandson, son, brother, and friend.
