On a late night in June of 2014, the life of 20-year-old Juan Anthony Queen Jr., an African American male, was tragically cut short. The former Chester High School football player, where he had graduated just the year before, was in the first block of Mowry Street in his hometown of Chester, Pennsylvania, when he was fatally shot. This violent act marked the 15th homicide in the city that year.
